Located in Colombia.

Ciudad Perdida (literally, “The Lost City”), or Buritaka-200, is an archaeological monument representing the ruins of the city of the culture of Tayrona in Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. The city is supposed to have been founded around 800 AD. e., that is, 650 years earlier Machu Picchu. The area is also known as Buritaka, and local Indians call it Teyun. The city was accidentally discovered in 1972.

In Ciudad Perdida, 169 agricultural terraces, hollowed out on mountain slopes, as well as a network of paved roads and several small round squares, were found. You can enter the city by climbing through a 1200-step staircase overgrown with jungle, going up the mountainside. The agricultural terraces of Ciudad Perdida exemplify the transformation of the mountain jungle without disturbing the ecological balance.

The main route is a total of 52 kilometers of walking path and requires good physical preparation. During the trip you need to cross several rivers, make steep ascents and descents.
