Television series that told about the main moments of the history of the United States from 1945 to 1990 (+ some events from the 19th century).
Main characters: Dr. Samuel (Sam) Beckett (makes quantum jumps), Al Calavici (Sam’s assistant friend, who appears as a holographic projection).
From 2022 to 2024, a TV series with the same title but with a different cast was produced. It is presented as a continuation of the main series, but the season numbering starts from the first, with most episodes using a reworked scripted basis of the old series. The new series ignores some features, like the so-called Waiting Room, where conversations were made with the person Sam is currently replacing.
Sam’s storyline was not continued, so the new series is useless as a continuation of that character’s story.
The new series emphasizes current Hollywood standards and clichés, so it is not recommended for everyone to watch. The old series was still more universal (and the grass is greener, yes 🙂 ).
