National Monument Montezuma Castle is a historical monument located in the center of Arizona, in the Green River Valley. It occupies an area of about 6.70 square kilometers. Here are the ruins of the culture of Hohokam – one of the predecessors of modern Indian pueblo. “Castle”, not related to the historic Montezuma, is a structure of raw bricks on a rocky ledge and dates from around 1100 AD. e.
