Tobolsk is a city in the Tyumen region of Russia. Located in the north of the Tyumen region, at the confluence of the Tobol River in the Irtysh.
Founded in 1587 as a center for the development of Siberia. In 1590 Tobolsk was the first in Siberia to receive city status.
