Pushkin (until 1918: Tsarskoye Selo, from 1918 to 1937 – Detskoe Selo) is a city within the Pushkin district of the city of St. Petersburg. Large tourist, scientific, educational and industrial center. Included in the list of monuments protected by UNESCO, as part of the object “The historical center of St. Petersburg and the associated complexes of monuments.”
Suburban imperial residence Tsarskoye Selo was founded in 1710; city since 1808. In the city there is a museum-reserve “Tsarskoye Selo” is a monument of town planning art and a palace and park ensemble of the XVIII – beginning of the XX century. The reserve includes the Catherine Park with the Catherine Palace and other buildings.
