TGV 001 is a French high-speed train. The very first train from the TGV series. It was built in 1972. Soon the train was able to accelerate to 318 km / h, which became a world record. Later the train was used as an experimental train until 1978. In 1981 the train was dismantled, and 2 head cars were put up as monuments.
