Sozopol is a city in southeastern Bulgaria. The city is located on a small peninsula, crashing into the Black Sea.
Near Sozopol is the largest Bulgarian island in the Black Sea, Saint Ivan.
Initially, as a fishing village, Sozopol began to develop gradually as a resort in the mid-1920s. Active advertising of Sozopol as a resort in Bulgaria began in the 1960s.
