Englischer Garten in Munich is one of the largest urban parks in the world, with a total area of ​​4.17 km², a length of approximately 5.5 km from the center of Munich to its northern outskirts. The park was created in 1792 by the garden architect Friedrich Ludwig Schkel and got its name in honor of the architectural style of the English landscape park, which, in contrast to the French park, seeks to maximize the naturalness of the composition, giving preference to the landscape style over the regular one. The park is one of the first parks available to everyone in modern Europe.
