Alexanderplatz is the central square of Berlin, an important transport hub and tourist attraction. The pedestrian square has a regular rectangular shape and is located in the historic quarter of Königsstadt in the Mitte district.

Since 1701, the square was officially called “Royal Gate Square”. In honor of the visit of the Russian Emperor Alexander I in the fall of 1805, the square received its present name.

Major attractions: the high-rise hotel Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz, the Teacher’s House, a television tower, a large rotating clock, thanks to which you can tell the time in many countries of the world, and a fountain.
