Jasper National Park located in Alberta, Canada, 320 km west of Edmonton and 290 km north-west of Calgary.

Founded in 1907. Area – more than 10.8 thousand square kilometers. It is the largest reserve in the Rocky Mountains and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The national park occupies the territory on the eastern slopes of the Cordillera, while it unites diverse landscapes of highlands of the Main and Front Ridges, as well as the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

In the south-eastern part is one of the largest lakes in the park – Malayn. In this park is one of the oldest glaciers on Earth – the Athabasca glacier. Its age exceeds 10 thousand years, and the area is more than 200 square kilometers.
