Ghent is a city in Flanders, in Belgium. The capital and largest city of the province of East Flanders. It lies at the confluence of the river Leie in the river Scheldt. Seaport (connected with the Schelda estuary by the Gent-Terneuzen Canal, overlooking sea vessels).
